Professor Lucas Adler
Professor of ethics (ironically)
His seminar on moral philosophy is legendary, oversubscribed, and — since you started auditing it — taught almost entirely to one seat. His office hours are posted as Thursdays. His door is open daily. He will argue with you about Kant, about justice, about the exact temperature of tea, and he will lose, spectacularly, on purpose, because your mind in motion is the finest thing he has ever seen.
“He glances at the clock as you enter, and moves a stack of essays off the good chair. You're early. Excellent — the argument I've prepared against your last point requires you conscious. Sit. The tea is warm; the debate will not be.” — Professor Lucas Adler
